Hybrid Mode

The SQL Connector can also be deployed in Hybrid Mode, making use of the Remote Connector framework in 2Ring Dashboards & Wallboards. This deployment is designed for environments where databases must remain within the customer’s local infrastructure, while dashboards and wallboards are hosted in the 2Ring Cloud.

In Hybrid Mode, the connector runs inside the customer’s network and communicates securely with the cloud over outbound-only HTTPS. No inbound firewall rules are required, and raw database access remains fully protected within the local environment.

This approach is particularly useful when integrating with legacy databases, sensitive data warehouses, or internal systems that cannot be directly exposed to the internet. It provides a secure way to make SQL-based business metrics available in the cloud without compromising compliance or data residency requirements.
