Hybrid Mode

The Generic Web Service connector can also operate in Hybrid Mode, using the Remote Connector framework of 2Ring Dashboards & Wallboards. This deployment option is designed for scenarios where data must remain within a customer’s on-premises environment, while still making it available for dashboards and wallboards hosted in the 2Ring Cloud.

In this mode, the connector runs locally inside the customer’s infrastructure and communicates securely with the cloud using outbound-only HTTPS. This approach eliminates the need for inbound firewall rules, while ensuring that sensitive data stays under the customer’s control.

Hybrid Mode provides an ideal balance between local data privacy and the flexibility of cloud-based dashboards. It is especially useful when integrating with systems that cannot be exposed directly to the cloud, or when compliance and residency requirements mandate that data remain on-premises.
