Business Units - Security

A Business Unit, also called BU is the main security boundary of the system. A Business Unit holds all lower-level entities such as users, administrators, enumerations, themes and more. A user can see or use everything that belongs to their Business Unit or to the Shared Business Unit. For more information see Business Units chapter.

Regular BU

A basic type of a Business Unit that holds all inter-related content. Only users belonging to a specific BU can see or manage its contents.

Shared BU

A special type of a Business Unit that holds shareable content. Only one Shared BU exists. Everyone can see its content but only Shared Business Unit administrator can manage it.
